VBS is finally over!!

It's been a great, long, exhausting week! The kids had so much fun at VBS this year, but I think every single parent was ready for the end!! I tell you, a week of not getting home until 10pm will wreak havoc on the best of us! Anyway, here is a cute picture of the kids with their VBS shirts on.

Father's Day Golfing

We had a great time at the driving rage on Sunday. Joe is getting really into golf, and the kids had a blast learning. Aiyana was actually pretty impressive for her first trip out!

wow... it's 8:40 in the morning and my eldest is still sleeping in bed!! Does that really happen as they get older? Will I eventually be able to sleep in without fighting with Joe about which one of us is going to get up with the kids? I love sleep. It is my favorite pastime. I have dark velvet curtains over my windows so that even in the middle of the afternoon it only looks as bright as a dark rainy day outside. It is the absolute best. I got them because I work over night, and I was having a hard time taking naps before work, and these curtains have totally helped. However, I am finding myself drawn more and more to my bed on afternoons that I don't work... just to enjoy the cool darkness...

ANYWAY, I am sure that one day I will be kicking my kids out of bed on Sat mornings, but that will be after I enjoy a couple years of sleeping in.

May 30. 9 Year wedding anniversary... this sums it up perfectly.
